Build a Better Body...With a Better Burger

1 pound 98% Lean Ground Beef, salt and pepper to taste.

Sauce: Equal parts of Worcestershire sauce and fat-free Italian salad dressing. 

Shape beef into 4 patties (4 oz./patty). Season with salt and pepper to taste. 

Place burgers into sauce mixture, dipping both sides. 

Place onto hot grill.  Grill until desired doneness. 

Serve on whole grain bun. 

Add condiments, as desired. 4 burgers.

Springerhill Ranch Chili

3 pounds Springerhill Ranch 98% Lean Ground Beef

1 quart water

1 (16-ounce) can tomatoes

2 medium onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

3 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon marjoram

3 tablespoons paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2-4 tablespoons cornmeal

Brown beef lightly in large nonstick saucepan; drain.  Add water, tomatoes, and onions.  Simmer for 1-11/2 hours.  Add sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, marjoram, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper; mix well.  Simmer for 45 minutes.  Stir in cornmeal 1 tablespoon at a time, simmering until desired consistency.

Yield: 10 servings
